Role Requirements

Reporting to: Director, Middle East

Work closely with: Office Manager � Abu Dhabi
Grade: Head of Department

Policy Review

- Develop and implement W&B Middle East policies and procedures in line with company�s requirements ensuring integration with global business procedures
- Develop HR QA procedures and maintain compliance to ISO9001 requirements once agreed and implemented

Performance Management

- Continue implementation of PDR process to ensure 360 degree performance management system is conducted and training needs analysis is determined
- Continue to deliver PDR training to team leaders to ensure provision of effective performance development reviews
- Identify potential leaders and high performers within the business and develop personal action plans to ensure continuous development and retention of these individuals
- Implement processes for dealing with poor performers and train team leaders on handling performance issues

Training and Development

- Conduct full training needs analysis resulting from PDR processes and implement training and development plans to bridge gaps between business needs and current skill levels in line with 5 year business plan objectives
- Set up and manage link with other branches and Group to facilitate technical training program
- Source and manage local training vendors for both management and technical training
- Develop and manage training budget in line with company�s Middle East requirements
- Develop and conduct regular in-house management training programs on an as-needs basis
- Set up graduate training secondment scheme between the branches in Middle East, other Group.


- Audit current recruitment processes and implement changes as necessary to ensure efficiency of service to the business
- Set up agency preferred supplier list based on agreed terms of business
- Educate agencies on company�s Middle East to ensure access to high calibre candidate base
- Define direct recruitment opportunities and implement processes to increase the rate of direct hires
- Work with firms Group to implement Easy Cruit � online recruitment system to manage recruitment processes
- Work closely with firms Group HR to facilitate international secondments and assignments to meet project based recruitment requirements
- Increase firms value proposition to promote firms profile in ME marketplace
- Set up vacancy list and manage on weekly basis
- Proactively manage the vacancy and recruitment list to ensure pool of candidates to meet growth needs of business
- Design and develop advertising strategy in line with marketing to increase profile and brand awareness
- Develop interview guidelines for managers to refer to when interviewing candidates


- Manage the annual salary review process
- Manage the annual profit-related bonus scheme process
- Ensure market competitiveness by continually monitoring and reviewing industry benchmarks and implement changes where necessary, in line with market trends
- Develop and manage expatriate reward packages to ensure international competitiveness in line with firms Group policies

Organisational Design

- Review current team structures to ensure consistent reporting lines and empowerment of team leaders to deliver business plan objectives
- Assist with support infrastructure development by working with other senior support managers and engineering managers to provide continuous improvements and innovation within the support function

HR Team (local and international)

- Coach and manage the Human Resources team and ensure continuous development of HR employees to meet demands of growing business
- Conduct regular one to one and team meetings to deliver management communication and monitor performance to HR objectives
- Strengthen relationships with firm branch Abu Dhabi and other related offices to ensure consistency in HR processes and procedures and sharing of knowledge
- Build strong relationships with firms HR network and share best practice
- Attend Group HR Management meetings when required

Employee Relations

- Ensure all people policies and procedures are conducted in accordance with UAE employment legislation
- Provide updates to the business on regular basis with respect to legislative changes
- Manage employee relations� issues in accordance with legislative requirements

Management Reporting

- Provide monthly management reporting to the main board on recruitment activity, training and development and other HR practices
- Monitor turnover statistics and HR/Training budgets and report on a regular basis
- Conduct exit and new joiner interviews and report on quarterly basis


- Champion the firms culture in the firms Middle Eastern offices
- Conduct regular employee satisfaction surveys and implement actions accordingly
- Work closely with Directors, Associate Directors and Associates to help overcome cultural barriers within the organisation
